BEING A DATA PROCESSING OFFICER

Since the advent of computer technology have been introduced into the global village of information processing and management, the simple hands on support/help have been adopted in other to achieve efficient and reliable service delivery.
But most people find themselves in such field without adequate knowledge or slight idea about their job description and the experience they need to technically and morally perform their daily responsibilities.
And in most cases, the simple technical idea might be known by the officers but the applications of such idea are not known.
Therefore, in this handbook, have gathered more than enough hands on support for officers that are allowed to perform both technical and operational skills for solving ICT fields challenges (Trouble and shooting it/ troubleshooting) within acceptable time line, as we have all known that ICT was built on offering services on A REAL TIME.

THE JOB DESCRIPTION
In definition, to provide support means to assist a USER on his/her limit in terms of technical and operational capacities, which means you are expected to know, have experience and more skillful than the regular computer system USER.
These should be the major idea in the mind of USER of this handbook and to be very sure that it is more than boiling rice but cooking it and adding necessary ingredients to it at the right time.
However, it means you are expected to be VAST in decision making and precise in time service delivery.
The below listed are the job description for any person that falls in between the career afore mentioned in ICT section of processing data.

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILIES.

1. Network maintenance and security.
2. Active monitoring service.
3. Data backup and retrieving.
4. Installation / Uninstallation of computer systems security software.
5. Account activation and deactivation.
6. Knowledge of IT hardware / Software Storage Area Network (SAN).
7. Software testing.
8. Ensuring that computers are operationally available.
9. Other devices maintenance and training for the users of the device.

HOW CAN I DO ALL THAT? “THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE…! only me?
Now that you are expose to your responsibilities on a daily bases, you are expected to serve in that capacity without limitation or complaint.
Ofcus, we’re not robots or angel, that knows everything at default, which am sure we are not, sometimes, the funny employee might even expect more from you without sending you or giving you to/for any training whatsoever.
That’s funny you know? Lol…
Ok.

NETWORK MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY.
To make it more complex, ICT career calls this technical support section mainly performing NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTING, meanwhile, they simply find solution to users problems related to connection of computers in our offices and disallowing them from happening from time to time.
